Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager -Internal & Flash Reporting (Finance Control & Governance / FP&A)

Responsibilities :

  • .P&L Ownership & Analysis - Prepare and analyze business unit Profit & Loss statements, ensuring accuracy of revenues, claims, expenses, and allocations
  • .Internal Financial Reporting - Deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports with key variance and trend analyses
  • .BU Flash Reporting - Develop and publish monthly Business Unit Flash reports providing early visibility into performance drivers, risks, and opportunities
  • .Forecasting & Budgeting Support - Assist in preparation of forecasts, budgets, and reforecasts, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and underwriting plans
  • .Performance Insights & Commentary - Provide actionable insights on business performance, cost drivers, and underwriting results to finance and leadership teams
  • .Stakeholder Collaboration - Work closely with Finance Controllers, Underwriting, Actuarial, and Operations teams to validate data and explain variances
  • .Process Improvement & Standardization - Drive efficiency through automation, enhanced reporting templates, and consistent financial governance across entities and regions

Minimum Qualifications :

  • .Commerce Graduate / Postgraduate
  • .Relevant years of experience in managing F&A Internal Reporting processes
  • .Experience in working with an insurance client will be an added advantage
  • Preferred Skill Set :

  • .Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
  • .Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • .Experience with accounting software, like Oracle, Blackline, EPM tools, etc.
  • .Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
  • .Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management
  • .Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
  • .Self-starter, with ability to work under own initiative
  • .Strong time management skills
  • .Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
