Proximity Learning is seeking a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in supporting K–12 students during the current school year. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills and academic success. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in K–12 students.
- Develop and implement individualized speech therapy programs based on assessment results and previous data if applicable.
- Conduct regular therapy sessions with students, maintaining detailed progress records while engaging them in meaningful conversations to assess their emotional response and address any concerns.
- Meet regularly with stakeholders to share progress updates and collaborate on instructional strategies that support student communication skills.
- Communicate consistently with stakeholders to report progress, suggest home activities, and answer questions about therapy.
- Reevaluate students regularly to track progress in accordance with district, state and federal guidelines.
- Engage students in meaningful conversation to assess emotional response to therapy and address concerns or frustrations.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.Active state SLP license (ASHA CCC preferred).Minimum 2 years of experience in the speech-language pathology field.Ability to hear and assess student speech accurately via virtual platforms.Working knowledge of technology such as virtual tools / personal computers and platforms for data tracking, collaboration, and communication.Schedule flexibility (School day hours) and interest in working across time zones.Skills Required
