Azure Solutions Architect – SaaS Clinical Supply Chain Analytics
Key Responsibilities
About the Role Boston Insights is seeking an experienced Azure Solutions Architect to design, implement, and scale a secure multi-tenant SaaS analytics platform for the clinical supply chain domain. The ideal candidate will combine deep Azure architectural expertise with hands-on experience in supply chain data integration and analytics delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement an Azure-based multi-tenant SaaS analytics environment supporting global
pharmaceutical clients.
Design data ingestion pipelines from SAP, CTMS, IRT / RTSM, and external third-party sources intoMicrosoft Fabric using One Lake, Delta Lake, and Databricks.
Lead end-to-end design of the data ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers, ensuringscalability, performance, and compliance.
Implement Azure DevOps CI / CD pipelines for infrastructure-as-code, continuous integration, andautomated deployment.
Define and enforce robust data governance, access control, and compliance frameworks consistent withGxP, GDPR, and HIPAA standards.
Develop reference architectures and reusable frameworks for multi-tenant data isolation, lineage tracking, and platform observability.Collaborate with product, data engineering, and analytics teams to deliver high-value supply chain insights and dashboards using Microsoft Fabric.Drive continuous innovation in data architecture, metadata management, and cost optimization acrossthe Azure ecosystem.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Required Experience
Required Qualifications
7+ years in data architecture or solution architecture roles, including 5+ years with Azure cloud services.Proven experience designing secure and scalable multi-tenant SaaS platforms.Hands-on skills with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Delta Lake, and Azure Databricks.Strong understanding of Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Key Vault, Azure DevOps, and role-based securitymodels.
Deep knowledge of data governance, master data management, and data privacy frameworks.Experience building analytics solutions for supply chain or pharmaceutical R&D preferred.Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, solution-driven mindsetPreferred Skills
Experience within pharmaceutical or clinical trial supply chain analytics .Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric / OneLake for unified data management.Knowledge of Azure cloud services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Key Vault .Microsoft Certified : Power Platform Solution Architect or equivalent certifications.Familiarity with Power BI semantic models and Data Activator for live operational insights.What We Offer
