Job Description – Associate Director – KYC KYB and Merchant Quality Assurance

Role Purpose

We are looking for candidates who will independently drive and manage KYC and KYB policies for India and other geographies for Pine Labs, the candidate will be expected to play a leadership role in building the Risk assurance function for new geographies and business for Pine Labs and its group companies. The candidate shall be able to drive the process with deriving effective KPIs and ensure the process remains compliant to the Network and Banking regulator.

Responsibilities we entrust you with

Able to drive the team to deliver a effective merchant selection process with appropriate KYC and KYB verification.

Define various risk acceptance policies as required by the regulator like enhance due diligence, standard due diligence etc.

Establish and Manage our International Merchant Acquiring Risk function

Identify KPI for the team and establish BAU functions.

Working with local banking and regulatory agencies to define internal SOP and policies.

Manage various internal and external Audits.

Working closely with other teams to drive Risk assurance function across the group companies.

Ability to drive various projects with collaboration with internal Product and tech team.

Ability to automate various manual processes to ensure resource optimization.

Coach and guide team members in Agile frameworks to drive results / performance.

What matters in this role

Relevant work experience

The candidate should be thorough with KYB and KYC process for India and Singapore, UAE and Malyasia.

The candidate must have worked in Risk assurance function, preferably in Merchant Acquiring domain.

The person should be well versed with Indian Payment Compliances , Person having understanding of International onboarding / KYC / KYB / Risk management will be given preference.

The candidate must have sound knowledge of Network (Visa / MasterCard) Rules and compliance for Merchant Acquiring business.

Able to perform investigations and come back with remedial actionable.

Ability to identify KPI for the Risk operations and able to publish MIS.

Sound data analysis skill and ability to derive Risk performance metrics.

Ability to identify various trends and work closely with FRM team to build strong rules.

Clear understanding of various payment instrument like Static QRs, Dynamic QR, Cards etc and understand the payment risk involves for each of such instrument.

Years of experience

Has 8+ years of experience in merchant underwriting , KYC KYB process and merchant risk assessment domain.
