About the OPPORTUNITY –

A new opportunity for a  Product Safety Engineer to join the Maritime - DDG Program, reporting to the Product Engineering Manager. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our products meet the highest safety standards throughout their lifecycle. This role is predominantely safety focused - looking to identify risks and hazards in a production environment.

This role will see you working as part of the production engineering team in an autonomous function. You will be responsible for supporting and providing subject matter expert (SME) knowledge in product safety, providing guidance on any safety review, reviewing artefacts from the customer and providing feedback to designers ensuring that all safety and hazardous elements have been reviewed and considered. You will help to develop process around safety, developing impact assessment reports to inform various stakeholders (internal and external).
