Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Lead – Academic Counselling for our Creative Edge vertical , which focuses on design, architecture, and creative entrance preparation. The role involves leading a team of counsellors to ensure effective student engagement, conversions, and an outstanding counseling experience aligned with Toprankers' mission of guiding students towards their dream careers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of academic counsellors, ensuring achievement of individual and team targets.

Drive student engagement by building and implementing effective counseling practices.

Ensure timely follow-ups, student query resolution, and a seamless counselling journey from inquiry to enrolment.

Monitor team performance through regular reviews, coaching, and training.

Collaborate with marketing, product, and academics teams to align counselling strategies with business goals.

Analyse counselling metrics, identify improvement areas, and implement solutions to enhance conversion and student satisfaction.

Build a strong culture of accountability, empathy, and high performance within the team.

Requirements

Overall Experience : 3–6 years in academic counselling, student engagement, or similar roles.

Team Lead Experience : At least 2+ years of leading and managing counselling / sales teams.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.

Ability to drive performance and motivate teams towards achieving ambitious goals.

Experience in EdTech or academic counselling will be an added advantage.

Data-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
