Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Purchaser to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services necessary for our construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage relationships with vendors to ensure the successful execution of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Source and purchase construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to avoid project delays.
- Coordinate with project managers to understand purchasing needs and timelines.
- Research and evaluate new suppliers and materials to enhance project quality and efficiency.
- Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.1-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the construction industry.Strong negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively with suppliers.Proficiency in inventory management and procurement software.Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and market trends.Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Education
