Job Description :
We are seeking a Cisco Network Engineer / Infobox SME with expertise in managing Infobox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) systems along with Cisco network devices. This role is critical for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of enterprise network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities :
Infobox Configuration & Management :
- Install, configure, and manage Infobox appliances (NIOS).
- Administer DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting :
Monitor and maintain network performance and uptime.Provide L3 troubleshooting for DNS / DHCP / Infobox issues.Conduct RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and apply long-term fixes.Security & Compliance :
Configure security policies within Infobox systems.Monitor network security events, mitigate threats, and ensure compliance.Documentation & Reporting :
Maintain system documentation, runbooks, and RCA reports.Generate regular performance / security reports.Collaboration :
Work closely with IT and network engineering teams.Participate in on-call rotations for P1 / P2 escalations.Required Skills :
Deep expertise in Infobox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM).Strong understanding of networking protocols : TCP / IP, VLANs, BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS, STP, RSTP.Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and Riverbed solutions.Experience with scripting (Python, Shell) for automation.Ability to work in large-scale enterprise :Infobox Certified Network Administrator (ICNA) mandatory / preferred.Cisco certifications (CCNA / CCNP) highly desirable.Preferred Skills :
Experience with network monitoring tools (Nektar, SolarWinds, etc.).Strong troubleshooting and RCA documentation skills.Knowledge of load balancers, QoS, and NAC solutions.(ref : hirist.tech)
