Academic Assistant – PSC Program
Program Objectives
- Focus and motivate students to achieve their learning goals and improve their academic performance in PSC and other competitive examinations.
- Generate interest and enthusiasm among students toward government exam preparation and related academic activities.
- Provide relevant information, guidance, and academic assistance to students pursuing PSC exams.
Mentorship
The Mentor and Students must adhere to the structured Mentoring Agenda designed for the PSC Program.Maintain a positive, motivating, and comfortable mentoring relationship based on trust and mutual respect.Empower students to take ownership of their learning, preparation strategy, and career goals in the government sector.Keep the mentoring approach professional, encouraging discipline, consistency, and exam-oriented focus.Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Updating Student Attendance
Admit students to the respective PSC batches and maintain accurate, up-to-date attendance records.Track attendance regularly, identify irregularities, and coordinate with the academic and administrative teams to address absences or related issues.2. Conducting Exams
Coordinate and conduct internal tests, mock exams, and practice assessments aligned with PSC exam patterns.Ensure examination integrity, timely evaluation, and proper record-keeping of results.Analyze test performance to provide feedback and improvement suggestions to students.3. Maintaining and Handling Assets
Manage learning tools and equipment such as iPads, microphones, projectors, and Apple TVs.Ensure all assets are well-maintained, organized, and readily available for faculty and student use.4. Setting up Classes for Faculties
Prepare classrooms and digital resources for faculty members.Ensure the learning environment is conducive, structured, and equipped for effective PSC preparation sessions.5. Updating the Portion Book
Update and maintain the portion book with syllabus details, class coverage, and topic completion status.Ensure classes progress according to the PSC syllabus and academic plan;report any changes or delays to the academic team promptly.
6. Handling Student Queries
Address student queries related to PSC syllabus, strategy, and study materials.Offer guidance and support to help students stay on track with preparation and resolve academic concerns efficiently.7. Follow-up with Continuous Absentees
Identify and follow up with students having consistent absenteeism.Communicate with students and guardians to understand challenges and ensure their re-engagement.8. Posting Timetables and Academic Information
Regularly post class schedules, test timetables, and academic updates in student communities or dashboards.Ensure timely and accurate communication of academic announcements and exam-related information.9. General Mentoring
Motivate and mentor students to build consistency, time management, and a strong study routine for PSC preparation.Create a positive, disciplined, and exam-focused environment that promotes steady progress.10. Taking Feedback from Students
Collect and review student feedback on faculty sessions, mock tests, and overall academic experience.Collaborate with the academic team to enhance teaching quality and student support mechanisms.Fee Collection Duties
Inform and remind students / parents about fee payment schedules and due dates.Collect payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate transaction records.Verify discounts, offers, or concessions and report discrepancies.Deposit collected amounts with Accounts and ensure proper documentation.Submit regular reports on daily / weekly collections and pending fee defaulters.Candidate Requirements
Must be a PSC aspirant or possess strong knowledge of PSC and government exam patterns , syllabus, and preparation methods.Should have excellent communication, coordination, and mentoring skills.Ability to motivate and guide students toward government job exam success.Organized, responsible, and proactive in managing academic and operational tasks.
