Rhi are seeking an experienced Owner’s Project Manager (OPM) to act as the local representative to provide oversight of the FEED stage delivery of a major fuel infrastructure project in Brisbane
Based : Brisbane QLD – Full time
Duration : 12-month temp contract
Start : December / Early January
Our client is expanding their infrastructure capability at two terminals, and you will be the key contact point between our client and the design team’s Senior Projects Manager. Based on-site at the Brisbane Terminal facility, you’ll be reporting to our clients team in Melbourne.
- Deliver functional excellence in project execution and management in line with industry best practices, ensuring adherence to major project policies and technical assurance processes.
- Act as the local representative to provide oversight and drive the design team’s project delivery performance to ensure objectives are met and aligned with the approved execution strategy.
- Serve as the focal contact for the design team’s Senior Project Manager, managing correspondence and requirements between both parties.
- Maintain constant engagement with the design team to ensure scope, cost, and schedule are delivered to plan, variations are managed per change procedures, and risks & opportunities are identified and addressed.
- Facilitate and participate in weekly project meetings to measure delivery performance against baseline cost and schedule, intervening and escalating where necessary.
- Support monthly governance meetings, including Steering Committee sessions and internal project governance updates.
- Engage with internal business and functional teams as needed to deliver accountabilities.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the Business and Commercial Development Manager.
Experience
Extensive experience managing delivery of major fuel infrastructure projects (e.g., >A$50m).
Must have acted as OPM in a similar role for an extensive period to be successful.Strong knowledge of bulk fuels terminal facility asset design, construction, operation, and maintenance – Highly regarded.Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across diverse stakeholders.Proven track record in proactive project delivery performance and risk management.Next step :
