Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer Networks to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in managing and supporting large-scale, global network infrastructures, data centers, LAN / WAN environments, and modern network security technologies. This role demands strong technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work across geographies and time Responsibilities :
- Provide end-to-end support for networking services including production and technical support.
- Manage and optimize Data Center and LAN / WAN environments in large corporate setups (30,000+ employees).
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for WAN, LAN, DC, VPN, and Client Connectivity services.
- Implement and manage enterprise-class data centers, particularly with Spine-Leaf topology.
- Support and manage global WAN infrastructures across 100+ sites using technologies such as MPLS, ATT Anira, ATT AVPN, IP-Sec VPN, and IZO.
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Meraki, Arista, Aruba, and Cisco switches along with
Aruba Wireless Infrastructure.
Manage Layer 7 Firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint), FortiGate Firewalls, and SSL VPNs (Ivanti / PulseSecure).Handle Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA) for large-scale deployments.Work with WAN-Optimizers, Packet Shapers, Load Balancers (F5 LTM / GTM / APM / AFM).Administer advanced Cisco platforms (Nexus 7k / 9k, 6500s, ASR / ISR routers, WAAS, ACS).Use SolarWinds for network monitoring, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.Perform packet capture analysis and use network documentation tools such as Visio.Lead initiatives for new technologies, Proof-of-Concepts, and service development.Manage IPAM implementation and administration.Support SD-WAN implementations, especially CATO Networks, with exposure to Versa, Fortinet, Aruba, and VeloCloud as a plus.Manage cloud networking (AWS & Azure) including VNETs, VPN Gateways, VWAN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, and Skills & Qualifications :8 -10 years of experience in managing networking services and global infrastructure.Strong expertise in LAN, WAN, Data Center, and VPN technologies.Hands-on knowledge of Meraki, Arista, Aruba, Cisco switches, and wireless infrastructure.Proficiency with network security technologies including Palo Alto, Checkpoint, FortiGate, and Zscaler.Solid understanding of WAN optimization, load balancing, and traffic shaping.Experience in SD-WAN (CATO mandatory) with exposure to other vendors preferred.Cloud networking experience with AWS and Azure is mandatory.Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with packet analysis.Proficient in documentation using Visio.Certifications : CCNA / CCNP (minimum one domain) and ITIL certification required.Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills.Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate across teams globally.Self-driven, quick learner, and strong problem-solving skills.(ref : hirist.tech)
