About the Role :
We are seeking a Pre-Sales Consultant with strong experience in server, storage, virtualization, backup, and cloud technologies . The ideal candidate will design end-to-end IT infrastructure solutions, support the sales team in customer engagements, and provide technical expertise during demos, PoCs, and partner enablement programs.
This is a field role involving travel across Tamil Nadu and Kerala to engage with partners, OEMs, and customers.
Key Responsibilities :
Design and propose Server, Storage, and Virtualization (VDI) solutions based on client needs.
Prepare Bills of Material (BoM) and technical documentation for proposed solutions.
Conduct partner enablement sessions , discovery calls , and technical presentations .
Perform demos, proof of concepts (PoCs), and solution walkthroughs for customers and partners.
Collaborate with sales and product teams to deliver optimized and cost-effective solutions.
Engage with OEMs and technology partners (Supermicro, Dell, HP, Veeam, Commvault, etc.) for technical alignment and pricing.
Stay updated on emerging technologies in backup, storage, and cloud platforms.
Ensure all proposed solutions align with business objectives, scalability, and budget.
Required Skills & Knowledge :
Hands-on experience in designing Server & Storage architectures (Supermicro experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of Backup & Recovery Solutions such as :
Commvault
Veritas
Veeam
Good understanding of Virtualization & VDI concepts.
Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) — certifications are an added advantage.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to understand client needs and translate them into technical designs.
Preferred Background :
Experience working with System Integrators or OEM partners .
Prior exposure to Supermicro hardware or similar open-platform server solutions.
Proven track record of pre-sales, demos, and partner enablement in the South India region.
Comfortable with field visits and partner interactions across Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
