Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Business Advisor to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in scaling our business by leveraging network and communication skills to engage with senior executives in target industries. This includes Heads of Maintenance, Asset Integrity, Reliability, Plant Operations, and Turnaround. Based preferably in Bangalore, you will collaborate closely with our internal team and management to drive growth, identify opportunities, and foster long-term client relationships in the predictive maintenance and industrial solutions space.
Key Responsibilities
Business Scaling and Networking : Identify and engage with key decision-makers (e.g., Heads of Maintenance, Asset Integrity, Reliability, Plant Operations, and Turnaround) in core industrial sectors to promote our predictive maintenance services and extreme wear solutions.
Client Communication and Relationship Building : Conduct high-level meetings, presentations, and discussions to understand client needs, demonstrate value propositions, and secure partnerships or contracts.
Strategic Advisory : Provide insights and recommendations to our management on market trends, competitive landscape, and growth strategies within the oil, chemical, metals, pharma, power, and continuous process manufacturing industries.
Collaboration with Internal Teams : Work closely with our Bangalore-based team to align advisory efforts with operational capabilities, ensuring seamless integration of predictive services and wear solutions.
Opportunity Identification : Leverage industry knowledge to spot potential areas for expansion, such as new applications for steam, air, gas systems, valves, steam traps, and lubrication solutions.
Reporting and Analysis : Track engagement metrics, provide regular updates to management, and contribute to scaling initiatives through data-driven insights.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial), Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience : Minimum 10-15 years in the industrial sector, with proven expertise in predictive maintenance, asset management, or related services. Prior roles in sales, business development, or advisory positions within oil refineries, chemicals, metals, pharma, power, or continuous process industries are essential.
Networking Abilities : Strong track record of building and maintaining relationships with senior executives (e.g., department heads in maintenance, operations, and reliability). Demonstrated ability to initiate and close high-value engagements.
Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies, extreme wear solutions, and systems involving steam, air, gases, valves, steam traps, and lubrication. Understanding of industry challenges in asset integrity and turnaround processes.
Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in English; knowledge of regional languages (e.g., Hindi, Kannada) is a plus.
Soft Skills : Strategic thinker, self-motivated, results-oriented, with strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
