Role Overview :
The Plant Head will lead end-to-end plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, safety, cost efficiency, manpower management, statutory compliance, and continuous improvement. The role demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence to drive productivity and profitability.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Production & Operations
- Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet output, quality, and cost targets.
- Ensure optimal machine utilization, efficiency, and minimal downtime.
- Drive Lean, TPM, Kaizen, and Six Sigma practices.
2. EHS & Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards and statutory norms.Coordinate with regulatory bodies and handle audits.3. Quality & Process Excellence
Implement and sustain quality standards (ISO, GMP, HACCP, etc.).Monitor process control, defect reduction, and continuous improvement.4. Engineering & Maintenance
Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs.Manage utilities, CAPEX projects, and asset management.5. Supply Chain & Inventory
Coordinate with SCM for planning, material availability, and cost optimization.Ensure inventory control, logistics support, and vendor collaboration.6. Cost & Budget Management
Develop and manage annual plant budgets.Optimize operating costs, waste reduction, and process automation.7. People Leadership
Lead white-collar, blue-collar, and contract workforce.Drive performance management, skill development, IR, and employee engagement.8. Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with corporate functions—HR, Finance, SCM, Quality, Projects.Present performance dashboards and improvement plans to leadership.Key Skills & Competencies :
