This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of data engineering and business intelligence, building scalable, automated data pipelines and insightful reporting solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to transform raw data into actionable insights, leveraging Python, Snowflake, and Azure cloud services. The position involves both hands-on ETL development and BI reporting, providing a direct impact on decision-making and operational efficiency. Accountabilities
As a Data Engineer II, you will :
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data using Python and ETL frameworks.
- Integrate and manage data workflows on Snowflake and Azure cloud services (Azure Blob Storage, Key Vault, ADF pipelines).
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance with role-based access control, encryption, and masking practices.
- Collaborate with business teams to develop insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI, MicroStrategy, or Tableau.
- Optimize SQL queries and data models to improve performance, storage, and accessibility.
- Translate business requirements into actionable data visualizations and BI solutions, applying best practices in data modeling and DAX.
- Automate data workflows, monitor data pipelines, and troubleshoot pipeline issues proactively.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have :
4+ years of professional experience in data engineering and BI reporting.Strong proficiency in Python, including libraries such as Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation and transformation.Hands-on experience with ETL development, workflow orchestration, and relational databases such as Snowflake, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.Expertise in Power BI (Desktop, Service, and Report Builder), Power Query, Power Pivot, and DAX.Solid understanding of data modeling, normalization vs. denormalization, and schema design.Experience with Azure cloud services, particularly for data ingestion, storage, and pipeline orchestration.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.Familiarity with data governance, security best practices, and role-based access control.Nice-to-have :
Experience in the financial domain or handling financial datasets.Knowledge of other BI tools such as Tableau or MicroStrategy.Exposure to automation, workflow scheduling, or CI / CD for data pipelines.Benefits
