Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain standardised Windows desktop images.
- Create and maintain automation scripts with PowerShell to support deployments and configuration management.
- Support the rollout of Windows updates, patches, and security baselines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve OS-related issues across the desktop estate.
- Collaborate with global IT teams to align on image standards and deployment practices.
- Document processes, scripts, and configurations to support knowledge transfer.
Technical Requirements
Operating Systems : Strong expertise in Windows 10 / 11 administration and configuration.Imaging : Experience with desktop image creation and deployment tools (e.g., Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), SCCM / MECM, or Intune Autopilot).Scripting : Advanced PowerShell scripting for automation, reporting, and system configuration.Deployment & Management : Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise endpoint management solutions.Security : Understanding of Windows security hardening, patching, and compliance standards.Troubleshooting : Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for OS and application compatibility issues.Networking (basic) : Knowledge of TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, and how they interact with Windows endpoints.Nice to Have (but not essential)
Experience with cloud-based device management (e.g., Intune, Azure AD).Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).Exposure to enterprise service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).Requirements
