Job description

Job Title : Linux Administrator with Windows Admin (L3 Support)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide L3-level support and administration for Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Deploy, configure, and manage web hosting platforms (Apache, NGINX, Tomcat).
  • Administer Linux systems running on VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).
  • Work with cloud and DevOps teams to implement and support autoscaling on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Manage certificate servers, including CSR generation, SSL / TLS configuration, and certificate lifecycle renewals (OpenSSL, Let’s Encrypt).
  • Set up and maintain backup tools and disaster recovery processes (rsync, Bacula, Veeam, Acronis, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot OS-level and infrastructure-level incidents.
  • Manage core Linux services (DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSH, NFS) and schedule jobs with cron.
  • Write and maintain Bash scripts to automate tasks and improve system operations.
  • Monitor system health, disk usage, and performance using tools like Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios.
  • Handle user and permission management, implement security measures (firewalls, SELinux, audit logs).
  • Document systems, operational procedures, and perform routine patching / hardening.
  • Support high-availability configurations, load balancing, and scaling for hosted websites and services.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • 8+ years of experience in Linux server administration and support.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux systems in VMware environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Apache / NGINX hosting, virtual hosting, and SSL configuration.
  • Experience with autoscaling and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficient in certificate management and SSL lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with backup and restore tools in Linux environments.
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash; Python knowledge is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of user / file permissions, ACLs, and sudo configurations.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, ticketing systems, and documentation practices.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Certifications : RHCE, LFCS, or VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
  • Exposure to DevOps tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Git) and CI / CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration basics (Kubernetes).
  • Experience with load balancing and HA solutions (HAProxy, NGINX, ELB).
