We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Spine Animator to join our creative team. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in 2D animation using Spine and a solid understanding of animation principles. You will be responsible for creating smooth, visually appealing, and expressive animations for characters, environments, and in-game assets that enhance player engagement and storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement 2D character and object animations using Spine .
- Collaborate with concept artists, game designers, and developers to ensure animations align with gameplay and art direction.
- Work closely with the Art Lead to maintain consistent animation style and quality across all assets.
- Optimize animations for performance while maintaining visual fidelity.
- Rig characters and props efficiently in Spine , ensuring clean bone hierarchies and smooth deformation.
- Integrate animations into the game engine (Unity, Unreal, or others) and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Maintain organized project files and adhere to production pipelines.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and tools in 2D animation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
2–3 years of hands-on experience as a Spine Animator or similar role.Strong proficiency in Spine 2D Animation Software .Solid understanding of animation principles (timing, squash and stretch, anticipation, etc.).Experience with rigging, skinning, and weight painting in Spine.Familiarity with game engines (Unity preferred).Basic knowledge of Photoshop or similar tools for working with 2D assets.Excellent attention to detail , creativity, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Good communication and time management skills.Good to Have (Preferred)
Experience with VFX , particle systems , or motion graphics .Understanding of mobile game optimization .Knowledge of scripting or animation integration in Unity.Experience with After Effects or Toon Boom .Passion for games and interactive media .Skills Required
