Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Registered Nurses to join the Outpatient Services Team - Women’s Health
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our five main campuses :
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Community Hospital, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About the Role :
The Outpatient Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) – Gynaecology will provide expert clinical advice, leadership, and education to improve patient care and outcomes in the gynaecology specialty, in particular the Abnormal Uterine Bleeding and Hysteroscopy clinic. The CNC, will work collaboratively with the Divisional Directors, Heads of Unit and other clinical and administrative staff; and actively participate in and support strategic initiatives that work toward meeting the needs of Northern Health as a whole, such as meeting National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards. The CNC is required to mentor and provide direct clinical support and instruction to both Registered and Enrolled nursing staff, and to support administrative staff in regards to speciality portfolio / s. The CNC will oversee the coordination of care for women, ensuring evidence-based practices are implemented and adhered to. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, developing policies and protocols, and providing mentorship to nursing staff. The CNC role is multi-ward based and will be required to work at any of the Northern Health sites as directed, in accordance with business and organisational demands and priorities.
