We are a manufacturing and exporting Company of repute having turnover of Rs. 100 Crs. + situated in Khandwa Road , Indore. We are seeking a qualified Cost Accountant to serve as a Financial Business Analyst , responsible for preparing insightful MIS reports , performing cost and financial analysis , and identifying opportunities for efficiency and profitability improvements . The ideal candidate will apply their costing expertise and analytical skills to support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities :
MIS Reporting & Analysis :
- Prepare, consolidate, and publish regular MIS reports (daily / weekly / monthly / quarterly) capturing key financial, operational, and cost-related metrics.
- Design and automate dashboards to track performance KPIs such as cost per unit, contribution margin, cost variances, and overhead absorption.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and meaningful reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Financial Analysis & Insights :
Conduct trend analysis, profitability analysis, and cost analysis to identify deviations and variances from targets or budgets.Analyse direct and indirect costs, fixed vs variable costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.Business Performance Improvement :
Identify inefficiencies, wastages, and leakages in processes, pricing, and resource utilization.Provide actionable insights and recommend strategies to optimize cost structures , improve margins, and enhance profitability.Budgeting & Forecasting :
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets , rolling forecasts, and cost projections.Support business units with financial planning aligned to operational goals.Stakeholder Collaboration :
Work closely with department heads (Finance, Production, Procurement, Sales) to understand business challenges and provide analytical support.Present findings, dashboards, and recommendations to senior management in a clear and impactful manner.Key Skills & Qualifications :
Qualified Cost Accountant (CMA / ICWA) with 2–5 years of relevant experience.Strong analytical skills with a focus on costing , budgeting , and performance analysis .Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).Deep understanding of manufacturing / service costing, inventory valuation, and cost control principles.Strong communication and stakeholder management skillsSkills Required
