Job Description :

Mandatory skills & JD :

Conduct

T-SQL code

reviews and enforce best practices.

Lead performance tuning initiatives

(indexing strategies, query optimization).

Develop and maintain automation scripts

(PowerShell, T-SQL).

Document operational procedures and RCA reports.

Lead DR drills and ensure DR site readiness.

Mentor L1 / L2 DBAs and provide technical leadership.

Configure and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.

Monitor and

troubleshoot

SQL Server performance issues (e.g., deadlocks, blocking).

Manage and optimize scheduled jobs, backups, and maintenance plans.

Handle incidents, SCTAKS and problem tickets.

Collaborate with developers to test and optimize database performance.

Deploy database objects across environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod).

Participate in bridge calls for P1 / P2 incidents and assist in root cause analysis.

Perform database refreshes and environment cloning.

Set up and fine-tune alerts for performance, space, and job failures.

Respond to monitoring system alerts and take corrective actions.

Provide on-call support as part of a rotation.

Analyse growth trends and plan for future capacity needs
