A Technical Content Writer is a professional responsible for creating documentation that clarifies the product’s features and benefits. They work on requirements like content strategy or scoping out new products to ensure all necessary information has been included for users to understand what they are reading. The ideal candidate should have ability to evaluate and analyze complex information and a natural desire to help people understand it. A technical content writer is a specialist who writes informative and engaging content to improve a brand’s visibility. They publish their content on digital platforms and in print, showcasing the brand’s products. Content writers produce well-researched content materials, such as blogs, articles, emails, and social media posts.
Key Responsibilities
- The writer should be able to collaborate with developers, quality engineers and product managers to develop various guides such as, Solution Description Guide, Installation Guide, Operations Manual, and Feature Description Guide Develop product messaging that differentiates new products and services from others in the market. Be the expert on our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria.
- High level view of wireless technology
- Profound efficiency in tools used for documentation, illustrations and visual drawings to scale.
- Can research and translate technical information into manuals and / or web-based documents for nontechnical and technical users.
- Candidate should be able to take lead and drive information from multi team environment across locations
- Plan, write and deliver customer facing documentation
- Expertise in creating block diagrams in Visio
- Collaborate with internal teams to obtain in-depth understanding of the product.
- Plan and execute end-to-end content development activity.
- Know the audience profile and analyze their tasks.
- Organize and write easy-to-understand online help manuals.
- Use screenshots, diagrams, and charts to explain visually.
- Review the content with the editorial team and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate the manuals by testing.
- Standardize the content across platforms.
- Revise documents and provide updates as necessary.
- Manage and maintain documentation versions and update before launch of new release
