Role Requirements

• Job Description :   The Senior Windows / VMware Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and support of enterprise-level Windows Server and VMware vSphere environments. This role requires a highly skilled individual with deep expertise in virtualization technologies, Microsoft server infrastructure, and associated tools. The administrator will ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of systems, while leading complex infrastructure projects and mentoring junior team members.
• Key Responsibilities :
• Design, deploy, and manage Windows Server infrastructure (2016 / 2019 / 2022) and VMware vSphere environments (6.x / 7.x / 8.x).
• Perform routine administration tasks including patch management, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file / print services.
• Oversee the configuration and maintenance of vCenter, ESXi hosts, resource pools, DRS, HA, vMotion, and storage / vSAN environments.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtualized environments.
• Monitor system health and troubleshoot server / VM issues to ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to support enterprise initiatives.
• Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Assist with audits, compliance checks, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Mentor junior administrators and provide escalation support for complex incidents.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when necessary.
• Required Qualifications & Skills :
• Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience : 3-6 years of hands-on experience with Windows Server and VMware administration in enterprise environments.
• Certifications (Preferred)
• Microsoft Certified : Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV)
• Technical Skills :
• Strong expertise in VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and vSAN.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows Server OS (2012 R2 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022).
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with backup / recovery solutions (Veeam, Commvault, etc.).
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP / IP, VLANs, firewalls).
• Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, vRealize, etc.).
• Knowledge of security best practices and patch management.
• Soft Skills :
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently.
• Team player with a proactive and collaborative attitude.
