Project management
- Lead the engineering process from proposal and design through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring all projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables, including technical reports, designs, and process calculations.
- Serve as the main technical point of contact for clients, regulators, and other stakeholders.
Team leadership and management
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical staff.Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance to ensure the team meets its goals.Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluations for team members.Technical oversight
Provide technical direction for complex water and wastewater treatment projects, including system design, optimization, and technology selection.Lead technical analyses, feasibility studies, and process optimization efforts.Ensure that all engineering work complies with relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations.Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle.Operational excellence
Implement and maintain standardized engineering procedures and protocols to enhance quality and efficiency.Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure new facilities and upgrades are integrated smoothly and operate reliably.Provide engineering support for facility start-ups, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in water treatment.Essential qualifications and skills
Educational background : A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Environmental or Chemical Engineering field is required. Master's degree in relevant field is advantage.Technical expertise : In-depth knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, technologies (e.g., UF,RO, filtration, MBR,MBBR, ZLD etc), and hydraulic modelling.Management experience : Proven experience in managing engineering teams and large-scale projects, including budget, schedule, and resource management.Communication skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.Regulatory knowledge : A strong understanding of environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance standards is crucial.Problem-solving abilities : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex engineering and operational challenges.
