Key responsibilities
1. Compliance Management
Ensure adherence to all applicable labour laws, regulations, and statutory requirements (e.g., ESI, PF, gratuity, minimum wages, etc.).
Conduct regular audits to identify non-compliance or areas of improvement.
Track and ensure timely submission of statutory returns and payments.
2. Audit Execution
Plan, organize, and conduct internal and external labour compliance audits across company locations.
Prepare audit checklists and ensure compliance against key labour acts (BOCW Act, CLRA Act, EPF Act, etc.).
Document audit findings, discrepancies, and corrective actions.
3. Reporting and Documentation
Prepare detailed audit reports with observations and recommendations.
Maintain comprehensive records and documentation of labour compliance processes and audit results.
Present audit findings to senior management and recommend corrective measures
4. Vendor and Contractor Compliance
Monitor labour law compliance by third-party vendors and contractors.
Verify contractors statutory registrations, licenses, and timely submission of statutory contributions.
Coordinate with vendors for rectifying compliance gaps.
5. Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve compliance processes and internal controls.
Develop and implement compliance monitoring systems and tools.
Stay updated with changes in labour laws and ensure immediate incorporation.
6. Employee Grievance and Risk Management
Assist in addressing labour-related grievances in compliance with legal frameworks.
Support risk assessment related to non-compliance and labour issues.
7. Training and Awareness
Conduct training programs for internal teams and stakeholders on labour laws and compliance requirements.
Build awareness of statutory obligations within the organization.
8. Liaison with Government Officials
Establish and maintain strong relationships with government authorities and regulatory bodies.
Coordinate with labour departments and other officials during inspections, audits, and inquiries.
Represent the organization in labour-related matters, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of issues.
Who are we looking for?
Education :
Bachelor s degree in law (LLB) from a reputed university.
Experience :
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in the compliance field. with 5+ years in a leadership role, preferably in the real estate industry.
Extensive experience in Labour compliance Audit, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation in real estate.
Skills :
Strong knowledge of real estate laws, BOCW, CLRA, construction regulations.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks and legal risk assessment tools.
