This role primarily involves being a Regulatory Compliance and Product Stewardship Specialist at Clariant, responsible for ensuring chemical regulatory compliance, managing safety data, and developing exposure scenarios for chemical substances. The position serves as a critical link between regulatory requirements and Clariant's product portfolio, ensuring that all products and materials meet applicable safety and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor regulatory developments, interpret requirements, and ensure timely availability of compliance information across Clariant.
- Interpretation & evaluation of the supplier Safety data sheet and other regulatory documents to ensure compliance and correct Data Maintenance into the SAP system
- Ensure - evaluation and maintenance of Raw materials and product safety relevant data in SAP systems (Evaluation, maintenance, and archive Raw Material / product safety relevant data). Maintain safety data in SAP systems
- Responsible for smooth Product Stewardship operations [creation of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and other product safety related declarations / certificates to our customers globally (Ensure legally compliant reports based on products, raw material data and their components), create and update safety data sheets and other product safety statements globally for our customers) using SAP software.
- Prepare exposure scenarios for inclusion in extended Safety Data Sheets (eSDS) and Develop exposure scenarios for chemical substances based on their identified uses and Analyze substance physicochemical properties to determine exposure potential and pathways
- Comprehensive knowledge of chemical supply chains required to effectively map substance flows and identify all relevant exposure scenarios from manufacturing to end-use
Requirements
Master's degree in chemistry or related fields from a reputed universityA minimum 5 or more years of relevant experience of Raw Materials & Exposure scenario shall be considered.ERP System (SAP) experience in particular modules EH&S and WINS required. Proficiency in evaluation and data maintenance of Exposure ScenariosBasic understanding of toxicology and ecotoxicologyKnowledge of relevant regulations (REACH, CLP, etc.) and exposure assessment guidelines and Proficiency in International Chemical Regulations & Legislations such as GHS, CLP, Dangerous goods, REACH etc. requiredExcellent communication in English language (written and oral).Strong analytical & decision-making skills.Ability to work in teams, flexible supporting inter-team processesOur Offer
