Software Engineer in Test

We are seeking a highly skilled professional who can seamlessly contribute as both a Developer and an SDET. The role focuses on building and testing a new AWS-based Lakehouse environment, transitioning from ODS → Delta Lake → Apache Iceberg. This is a critical, fast-paced role that requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and leadership skills.

Experience - 5 to 8 years

Job Location - Pune / Bangalore / Chennai

Key Responsibilities :

Contribute to both development and testing activities as required.

Design, develop, and validate data pipelines for the new AWS-based Lakehouse.

Perform complex data validations, metadata checks, and transformations.

Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to ensure smooth delivery of critical projects.

Provide leadership to offshore SDET counterparts, including mentoring, guidance, and extended support coordination.

Work independently with accountability, driving tasks to closure in a high-paced environment.

Required Skills & Experience :

Strong technical expertise in SQL, PySpark, and Python.

Hands-on experience with AWS services (EMR, Glue, S3).

Familiarity with Delta Lake and Apache Iceberg.

Good understanding of Kafka / streaming platforms (preferred).

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to deep-dive into data and derive meaningful insights, beyond running queries mechanically.

Prior experience in leading or mentoring offshore teams is highly desirable.
