HITLAB is seeking a skilled Freelance Video Editor to create, edit, and optimize digital video content for events, webinars, research storytelling, social media campaigns, and teasers. This role requires advanced video editing expertise, strong communication skills, and proficiency with top video editing applications to deliver professional, engaging, and brand-aligned content.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw footage from events, interviews, and webinars into polished final videos suitable for digital distribution.
- Apply motion graphics, lower thirds, transitions, and branding elements consistently across content.
- Create short-form video clips optimized for , YouTube, and other digital platforms.
- Manage audio balancing, noise reduction, color correction, and subtitles / captioning for accessibility.
- Collaborate remotely with HITLAB’s communications and design teams, demonstrating clear and proactive communication throughout projects.
- Organize and maintain video assets within shared cloud-based systems.
- Apply updated formats, styles and aspects of editing.
Qualifications
Proven experience in video editing for healthcare, technology, or professional event content.Expertise in top editorial applications, inc luding : Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve (color grading), Audition (audio editing) or similar applicationStrong language and communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.Excellent visual storytelling, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.Familiarity with new editing styles and industry standards, including social-first formats, vertical video, and AI-assisted editing tools.Experience with remote collaboration tools (Google Drive, Dropbox, Frame.io, Asana / Trello).Availability to work 5 days per week on assigned projects.Engagement

Work Conditions :
This is a fully remote role, with the expectation of working from your own home office or a remote work environment.Working hours will be part time or full time, preferably between 7 AM to 4 PM EST.Physical Requirements :
