Job Description : Responsibilities

• Drive Daily Stand-Ups with On-Call Engineers and incident manager :
• Ensure incidents are being mitigated appropriately and are being root caused and have repair tasks.
• Track and Report Incident Related Metrics on a weekly basis
• Bring visibility into the patterns of problems to the leads.
• Track and Report Service-Related Metrics
• Bring visibility into top issues requiring attention, have a sense of ownership of the problem space and drive to proactively resolve the problems :
• Perform site reliability operations
• Monitor alerts for various data centers and capacity regions
• Track and report capacity related metrics on weekly basis
• Bring visibility into trending capacity crunch / overspend issues
• Run queries / scripts to fetch data / report on focus areas per team needs.
• Own Ship-driving for deploying online builds.
• Troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
• Develop mechanisms / scripts to make site reliability tasks more efficient.
• Defining new components with understanding of service interdependencies and limitations.
• Possess knowledge and is curious to learn more about performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Work effectively with product development and engineering teams.
• You must be self-driven, curious to learn, proactive, and result oriented.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

4+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in cloud infrastructure management and DevOps.

Expertise in one and / or familiarity with multiple programming / scripting languages, such as Python, Batch, PowerShell.

Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, patterns, and practices, and agile methodologies.

Experience with managing infrastructure and troubleshooting with cloud platforms and services, such as Azure Virtual machines and containers.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Passion for learning new skills and technologies and sharing them with others.
