Hello All,

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Monitoring Expert with strong expertise in Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and IT infrastructure monitoring. The role involves managing and optimizing monitoring environments across on-premises and cloud (Azure) platforms, ensuring service reliability, and delivering actionable insights to business stakeholders.

Contract / Permanent (Flexible, based on candidate profile and business needs)

Key Responsibilities

Review the current SCOM deployment and monitoring standards for both on-premises and cloud environments.

Analyse and tune SCOM configurations, including cleanup and optimization of management packs .

Develop and implement new management packs based on business and application needs.

Collaborate with business areas and application owners to design distributed applications monitoring for critical systems.

Configure end-to-end monitoring for defined services and implement targeted notifications aligned with business requirements.

Ensure all monitoring-related documentation is up-to-date and complete ; create missing documentation as needed.

Review the current monitoring setup and recommend enhancements leveraging Microsoft cloud-based solutions (Azure Monitor, hybrid observability).

Support continuous improvement of monitoring standards, automation, and proactive issue detection.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT operations.

At least 3+ years as a SCOM Administrator with deep knowledge of configuration, monitoring, and management packs.

Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Windows Server environments .

Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into technical monitoring solutions .

Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure and enterprise applications .

Strong customer focus , problem-solving mindset, and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

Knowledge of System Center Orchestrator .

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.

Experience bridging SCOM with Azure Monitor in hybrid monitoring environments.

Familiarity with Microsoft cloud monitoring and observability best practices.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Microsoft certifications in System Center, Windows Server, or Azure Monitoring (preferred).
