Key Responsibilities :
1. Commercial Strategy & Business Development :
- Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company goals and market trends.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in domestic and international freight forwarding.
- Lead negotiations for major contracts, pricing, and service agreements.
2. Sales & Customer Relationship Management :
Drive sales growth through team leadership, target setting, and performance monitoring.Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.Oversee account management and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.3. Pricing & Contract Management :
Develop competitive pricing models and optimize freight rates based on market conditions and cost structures.Manage contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance and renegotiations when necessary.Collaborate with legal and finance teams for contract reviews and approvals.4. Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Work closely with operations, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless service delivery.Coordinate with finance for budgeting, forecasting, and commercial reporting.Partner with marketing to develop promotional campaigns and brand positioning.5. Team Leadership & Development :
Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial team to achieve sales targets and professional growth.Establish KPIs, conduct performance appraisals, and implement training programs.6. Market Intelligence & Reporting :
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting freight forwarding.Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.Key Requirements :
Education :Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.MBA or equivalent preferred.Experience :10+ years in commercial roles within freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation, with at least 5 years in senior management.Proven track record in sales, business development, and contract negotiations.Skills :Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinkingExcellent negotiation and communication skillsUnderstanding of freight forwarding operations and global trade regulationsProficiency in CRM and ERP softwareLeadership and team-building expertiseSkills Required
