Key Responsibilities :
1. Commercial Strategy & Leadership :
- Define and execute commercial strategies in alignment with business goals.
- Oversee sales planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Drive profitability through strategic pricing, cost controls, and margin optimization.
2. Procurement & Vendor Management :
Lead procurement functions including sourcing, negotiation, and vendor development.Establish procurement policies, monitor contract compliance, and control costs.Ensure supply chain reliability and mitigate procurement risks.3. Contract & Risk Management :
Negotiate and manage large contracts with customers, vendors, and partners.Identify and manage commercial risks including exposure to legal and compliance issues.Ensure proper documentation and adherence to commercial terms and conditions.4. Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Coordinate with finance, operations, legal, and supply chain to enable smooth execution of contracts and commercial deals.Work closely with sales and marketing teams to support business development and market expansion.5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting :
Track commercial KPIs including revenue, cost-to-serve, contract performance, and customer profitability.Provide regular reports and strategic inputs to senior leadership and board.Key Requirements :
Education :Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.MBA or PGDM preferred.Experience :12–20 years of experience in commercial operations, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Industry experience in manufacturing, logistics, EPC, infrastructure, or FMCG preferred.Skills :Strong commercial and financial acumenExcellent negotiation and vendor management skillsUnderstanding of contract law and risk managementLeadership and team management abilitiesProficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and MS Office toolsSkills Required
