Tata Elxsi - VoIP Architect - SIP / IMS

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, configure, and implement VoIP / SIP / IMS systems for enterprise and carrier-grade solutions.
• Integrate open-source VoIP platforms such as FreeSWITCH, Asterisk, or similar.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain robust communication infrastructures.
• Optimize system performance, perform load testing, and ensure high availability and scalability.
• Debug and resolve complex issues using advanced debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems.
• Collaborate on kernel and user-space programming in Linux environments.
• Maintain code quality and manage source control using tools like Git.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in VoIP and IMS technologies and propose innovative Skills :
• Proven experience in system integration and end-to-end configuration of VoIP, SIP, and IMS systems.
• Hands-on expertise with FreeSWITCH or other open-source VoIP tools.
• Strong understanding of VoIP architecture, signaling protocols, and media handling.
• Excellent knowledge of Linux OS, including kernel-level development and user-space programming.
• Proficiency with debugging tools for embedded and real-time systems.
• Solid experience with version control systems, especially Git.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration Qualifications :
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Previous experience working with telecom operators, system integrators, or OEMs.
• Familiarity with IMS architecture, SIP Trunking, and RTP handling
