About the Role : The Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations of the logistics business, including budgeting, financial planning, cost control, compliance, and reporting. The role involves ensuring financial efficiency, optimizing working capital, and supporting business growth through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities :
Financial Planning & Analysis :
Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Conduct variance analysis between actuals and budgets; identify cost-saving opportunities.
Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to management.
Accounting & Compliance :
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including payables, receivables, and reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, etc.).
Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits.
Cost Control & Profitability :
Analyze transport, warehousing, and operational costs to improve margins.
Implement cost control measures across logistics operations.
Track fleet utilization, route optimization, and vendor payments for cost efficiency.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management :
Manage cash flow planning and ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
Oversee billing, collections, and vendor payments to maintain optimal working capital.
Liaise with banks and financial institutions for loans, limits, and funding.
Business Partnering :
Support management in financial decision-making and contract evaluations.
Collaborate with operations, procurement, and business development teams for pricing and project feasibility.
Prepare MIS reports and dashboards for management review.
Qualifications :
Education : Chartered Accountant is a must.
Experience : 3-5 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in logistics, transport, or supply chain industries.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial regulations.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Proficiency in ERP software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or Oracle) and MS Excel.
