Job descriptionContribute to the success of the Healthcare Economics Data Management team Design, code, test, deploy, maintain, monitor and execute production ETL processes Investigate production ETL issues / problems Map database sources to specified data formats Verify and validate ETL deliverables incoming / outgoing Provide direction and mentorship to junior colleagues on topics related to Datamart design and ETL deliverables Lead troubleshooting episodes and communicate solutions / resolutions to the team Translate concepts to requirements, then design, and develop into an automated production process Act as a subject matter expert for other team members on assigned processes Complete projects and development activities timely and accurately while following the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Suggest changes and enhancements for processes. Document hours of development activities by following SDLC and IS Change Management Keep skills up to date through ongoing self-directed training Proficient with SQL, MS Visual Studio, SSIS, T-SQL, MS SQL Server tools. About Position :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer – SQL / SSIS to join the Optum Advisory Team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud-based data engineering, healthcare data modeling, and consulting, with a strong background in Azure, Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL, and SSIS / SSRS. This role requires a self-starter who can work independently with minimal guidance and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact data solutions in the healthcare domain
