Presales Solution Architect Infrastructure & Cloud Services

Experience : 10+ : Presales / Solutioning / Architecture

About the Role :

We are seeking a Presales Solution Architect with deep expertise in infrastructure and cloud solution design to lead RFP / RFI / RFQ responses, architect enterprise-grade IT solutions, and partner with clients on their transformation journeys. You will bridge business requirements with cutting-edge technology architectures, define scalable and cost-effective solutions, and establish trust with C-level stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

RFP / RFI / RFQ Solutioning :

  • Lead end-to-end presales cycle : requirement analysis, win theme identification, solution design, pricing, and proposal submission.
  • Create high-impact proposals, presentations, and cost models aligned to customer requirements.

Infrastructure & Cloud Solution Architecture :

  • Architect and integrate Data Center, Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM), Virtualization, Compute, Storage, Network, Unix / Linux, Windows, Database, and Middleware solutions.
  • Define Disaster Recovery, RPO / RTO, and BCP architectures for mission-critical workloads.
  • Build secure, scalable, and hybrid infrastructure solutions that balance performance, cost, and risk.
  • Technology & Service Design :

  • Architect solutions across Infrastructure Management Services (IMS), End User Computing, ITSM frameworks, and DevOps pipelines.
  • Define operating models, delivery frameworks (Remote, Hybrid, Onsite), SLA governance, and ITIL-aligned service models.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects, security experts, and network engineers to ensure integrated solution design.
  • Commercial & Costing :

  • Develop and validate commercial models, TCO / ROI analysis, effort estimation, and pricing templates.
  • Understand industry benchmarks and market trends for managed services pricing.
  • Stakeholder Engagement :

  • Lead client workshops, solution defense presentations, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Partner with consultants (ISG, KPMG, Pace Harmon, etc.) during deal negotiations.
  • Build long-term CXO-level relationships as a trusted advisor for digital transformation.
  • Handover & Governance :

  • Provide Engagement Hand Over (EHO) to delivery teams for seamless transition.
  • Ensure solution integrity, technical governance, and compliance with best practices.
  • Required Skills & Experience :

  • Presales / Solution Architecting : Proven success in large-scale RFP / RFI / RFQ response and presales solution design.
  • Infrastructure Expertise : Strong knowledge in at least one tower : Unix / Linux, Windows, Storage, Networking, Cloud Administration.
  • Cloud & Multi-Cloud : Hands-on architecture experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud; expertise in cloud migrations, hybrid / multi-cloud strategies.
  • Disaster Recovery & BCP : Strong understanding of resilience design, HA, DR drills, RPO / RTO models.
  • ITSM & DevOps : Familiar with ITIL frameworks, SLA models, DevOps CI / CD, automation-first solutioning.
  • Commercial Acumen : Deep knowledge of pricing models, effort estimation, TCO / ROI analysis.
  • Communication & Leadership : Excellent ability to present complex architectures in simple terms to CXOs and business leaders.
  • Good to Have :

  • Multi-Cloud Architect certification (AWS / Azure / GCP Solutions Architect Professional).
  • Experience in Infrastructure Managed Services benchmarking.
  • Exposure to security frameworks, compliance standards (ISO, SOC, GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Contributions to RFP win strategies with consultants like ISG / KPMG.
  • Flexibility to travel for client workshops, solution defenses, and presales engagements.
