About the Role
This position is responsible for the technical implementation, configuration, and optimization of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and its component applications, with a primary focus on Customer Journey Analytics (CJA). The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in AEP’s capabilities, driving the creation of a unified customer data model to enable real-time personalization, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. You'll work closely with marketing, IT, and business teams to translate strategic goals into technical solutions that enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection : Hands on experience working on Data layer implementation, Data Elements, Building Launch Rules, creating processing rules and use tags for clide-side rules & Data Streams to route SDKs to AEP, AA, Adobe Target etc.
- Solution Design Reference : Maintain the Solution document reference to build traffic variables, conversion variables and custom events to track the Site / App performance and extract the data for reporting using Adobe data warehouse & report builder.
- AEP Implementation & Management : Architect, implement, and maintain the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including setting up data ingestion pipelines, managing datasets, and configuring data governance policies. Configure and maintain connections between AEP, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Real-Time CDP, and external systems. Build data schemas, identity graphs, and real-time data ingestion pipelines.
- Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) : Implementation and configuration of Customer Journey Analytics. This includes designing and building data views, calculated metrics, and dimensions to analyze customer behavior across all touchpoints, both online and offline. Configure workspaces, metrics, and visualizations within CJA. Enable cross-channel analysis to understand customer behavior and optimize journeys.
- Technical Data Architecture Design & Integration : Design and maintain Experience Data Model (XDM) schemas to ensure a consistent and unified view of customer data. Integrate data from various sources (e.G., web, mobile, CRM, POS systems) into AEP using Adobe Web / Mobile SDKs, APIs, and other data ingestion methods.
- Mobile App Analytics : Implement the XDM events for mobile app using native Edge extension and converting all the Adobe processing rules into Kotlin for Android and Swift for iOS Platforms for all applicable Track actions.
- Audits : Conduct audits and data quality checks to identity any gaps in existing tagging & apply custom scripts to fix the issues using Adobe Launch & JavaScript.
- Reporting & Insights : Develop and deliver insightful dashboards, reports, and visualizations in CJA and other visualization tools. Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business stakeholders to improve customer engagement and drive conversions.
- Collaboration & Support : Act as a subject matter expert for AEP and CJA, providing technical guidance and training to marketing and analytics teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and alignment between business objectives and technical implementation.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization : Proactively monitor platform performance, troubleshoot data issues, and continuously optimize platform configurations to improve efficiency and data quality.
Required Skills
Technical Proficiency : Strong, hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), Adobe Analytics & Adobe Target Implementation is a must. Expertise in related Adobe Experience Cloud applications like Adobe Real-Time CDP, Adobe Audience Activations to Destinations, Adobe Journey Optimizer is highly preferred.Data & Analytics : Deep understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data governance principles. Develop and maintain customer data models and profiles in AEPProgramming & Scripting : Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript for analytics implementation and API integrations. Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.Analytical Mindset : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large, complex datasets and identify key trends and insights.Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present technical information to both technical and non-technical audience.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
