Benefits Specialist II
About the role…
o9 Solutions is looking for an experienced Benefits Specialist to manage the employee benefit programs in India and APAC. In this individual contributor role, you will be responsible for assisting with researching, implementing, and administering all benefit programs and processes. Responsibilities include tasks associated with benefits administration, performing benefit reporting and analysis, and communication with employees and managers about benefit topics. This role will work closely with our HR team to ensure seamless benefit administration, compliance, and employee support.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with benefits, strong Excel skills, an aptitude to learn new topics, and an eagerness to grow in their career.
What you’ll do
- Administer employee benefit programs for India and APAC (medical, disability, retirement, supplemental benefits, etc.).
- Manage enrollments, terminations, and life event changes, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely renewals.
- Support payroll deductions related to benefits.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting for Employee Provident Fund (EPF / VPF).
- Support vendor relationships, liaise with vendors and local agencies.
- Reconcile benefit invoices and ensure accuracy of billing.
- Respond to employee benefit inquiries promptly and accurately, ensuring compliance with India / APAC policies and regulations.
- Support compliance audits and maintain accurate benefit records.
- Coordinate benefit orientation sessions for new hires during the coverage period.
- Ensure employees are always kept up-to-date and educated on all available benefits and wellness programs.
- Support company initiatives associated with wellness, including events and employee engagement programs.
- Maintain well-informed knowledge of the company benefit campaigns, vendor relationships and enrollment processes.
- Other benefit-related tasks as assigned.
What you’ll bring
Experience : Minimum 4 years working in HR / benefits administration, with specific experience in India and / or APAC benefits.Education : Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).Skills :Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.Strong knowledge of Workday (WD) for managing benefit elections.Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive / confidential data.Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain benefits to employees clearly.Mindset : Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, global environment.Details :
