As the Environmental Permitting & Regulatory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of environmental permitting and compliance for our Client's operations in Port Moresby, PNG. Your key duties will include developing and implementing environmental strategies, ensuring compliance with local regulations, managing environmental impact assessments, and liaising with regulatory agencies. Additionally, you will be required to provide guidance and support to project teams on environmental matters and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
List of Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance, particularly in the PNG O&G context
- Strong knowledge of local environmental laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience in stakeholder engagement and community consultation is desirable
