Hiring Now : Application Lead - Microsoft Azure DevOps.

Location : Pune, India (Onsite / Hybrid as per business requirement).

Role Summary :

As an Application Lead, you will own the end-to-end design, build, and configuration of applications on the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and act as the primary point of contact for your product area.

You will collaborate with cross functional teams to plan, prioritize, and deliver releases; facilitate discussions to remove blockers; and guide engineers through the full development lifecycle.

The role requires a proactive leader who anticipates risks, aligns delivery to business outcomes, and implements effective, scalable solutions that meet user needs and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities :

Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Azure DevOps practices, tooling, and delivery processes.
Lead and mentor a multi disciplinary team (developers, QA, DevOps, analysts) to achieve sprint and release goals.
Own day to-day decision making for the team and represent the team in program / portfolio forums.
Partner with architecture, security, infrastructure, and product to influence key technical and product decisions.
Design, implement, and optimize CI / CD pipelines (build, test, deploy, release) using Azure DevOps.
Drive engineering excellence : code quality, automated testing, observability, performance, and reliability.
Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions, establish standards / playbooks, and uplift team capabilities.
Monitor delivery metrics (velocity, lead time, deployment frequency, change failure rate) and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Identify risks and dependencies early; implement mitigation plans and communicate status proactively.
Ensure secure development and compliance (secrets management, IAM, vulnerability management, policies).
Coordinate incident response and problem management; lead post incident reviews and continuous improvement.
Manage environments and releases across dev / test / stage / prod with appropriate governance and approvals.
Optimize cloud usage and costs in partnership with platform and FinOps teams.

Professional & Technical Skills :

Must Have :

5+ years of hands on experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, Test Plans).

Strong understanding of CI / CD, trunk based development, Git workflows, and automation-first practices.

Demonstrated experience leading Agile / Scrum / Kanban teams and using project management tools (e., Azure Boards, Jira).

Solid troubleshooting skills across application, pipeline, and environment issues; strong root cause analysis.

Familiarity with core Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, App Services, AKS, Key Vault, Monitor).

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e., ARM / Bicep / Terraform) and configuration management.

Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell and / or Bash; YAML for pipelines).

Exposure to application observability (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Log Analytics) and release governance.
