Job Description :
The incumbent will be primarily responsible for supporting in planning and driving growth strategies for different Seed products of field crops like maize, research wheat, pearl millet and mustard to begin with, identifying, and evaluating new transformative opportunities and adjacencies to broaden business / product portfolio. He will be instrumental in product campaigns, and product promotions aligned to organizational short-term and long-term goals.
- Product-wise Business Planning
- Drive product-wise target setting based on market segmentation, Product fit, and competitive intensity.
- Identify product gaps across target crops & suggest new product / variety introductions.
- Creating a strategic plan to ensure revenue and margin achievement of the Seed business.
- Demand Generation & Brand Building
- Monitor and drive execution of demand-generation activities
- Lead the Planning & Monitoring of all marketing and sales support activities such as ATL, BTL, Digital Marketing & Loyalty Programs.
- Custodian and Master Trainer for Product / Technical Knowledge for the Seeds.
- Channel Strategy
- Monitoring of Market Width & Market Depth.
- Monitor the appointment of new dealers to improve and strengthen the network as per plan in a fixed time frame.
- Retailer Connect & relationship Building.
- Plan outdoor and retail visibility, in-shop branding, and on-ground activations to enhance brand presence
- Sync with sales team and monitor service delivery to our retail partners
- Technical Capability Building
- Conduct Training Session for the Sales Team on Newly launched products and crop-wise positioning of New and existing seed products
- Study and analyze customer requirements & market trends.
Preferred candidate profile
A good understanding of the Seed business (Research and Hybrid varieties).Skills Required
