We are currently looking for an experienced Mining Manager to lead and oversee mining operations across various sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation from CMPDI, significant hands-on experience in mine development, and a proven track record in managing large-scale mining operations.
Role Overview :
The Mining Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all mining activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. The role involves leadership in mine planning, development, production, and compliance, with a focus on both underground and opencast mining environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage end-to-end mining operations, including mine development, production, and resource management.
- Oversee daily operations at the mine site, ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term mine plans and production schedules.
- Collaborate with geological, planning, and maintenance teams for optimized mine performance.
- Ensure optimum utilization of equipment, manpower, and resources.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across mining operations.
- Coordinate with government authorities and regulatory bodies for statutory compliance.
- Prepare operational reports, performance metrics, and productivity analysis for senior management.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for mining activities.
- Mentor and manage a team of mining engineers, supervisors, and operators.
Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering from Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI) - Mandatory10-20 years of relevant experience in mining and mine developmentProven track record in managing large-scale operations in coal, bauxite, or chromium miningExperience in both underground and opencast (open-pit) mining operations is highly desirableSound knowledge of mine planning software, statutory regulations, and industry best practicesStrong leadership, team management, and decision-making capabilitiesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsPreferred Certifications :
