Position Title : Chief Learning Officer (CLO)

Team Size : 4–5 Members
Experience : 15–18 Years (including minimum 5 years leading L&D / OD functions)
Purpose of the Role
The Chief Learning Officer (CLO) will lead the Learning & Development (L&D) function across Pidilite Industries driving the strategic design implementation and evaluation of learning programs that enhance organizational capability and performance. The incumbent will ensure the learning agenda aligns with the company’s growth strategy fostering a strong learning culture across diverse business units.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
Formulate and execute the overall L&D strategy in alignment with Pidilite’s business goals and talent priorities.
Partner with senior leadership and the CHRO to embed learning as a core business enabler.
Build a learning culture that supports innovation collaboration and continuous improvement across divisions.
2. Stakeholder & Business Engagement
Collaborate with Business Heads and Functional Leaders to identify capability gaps and future skill needs.
Support business units in career pathing succession planning and high-potential (Hi-Pot) talent development.
Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational capability building and workforce learning trends.
3. Learning Design & Delivery
Oversee the design development and delivery of high-impact learning programs across leadership levels.
Partner with internal teams and external experts to deliver cutting-edge blended learning experiences.
Integrate modern learning methodologies including digital learning experiential programs and coaching interventions.
Ensure all programs are contemporary market-relevant and aligned with Pidilite’s values and culture.
4. Capability & Talent Development
Lead initiatives supporting succession planning leadership pipeline development and managerial excellence .
Coach and mentor the L&D team to enhance program design delivery and impact evaluation capabilities.
Partner with Talent Management and HRBPs to integrate learning with talent and performance strategies.
5. Governance Budget & Effectiveness
Establish robust systems for L&D data management reporting and performance analytics.
Define metrics and success criteria to measure the impact and ROI of learning programs.
Prepare and manage the L&D budget efficiently optimizing resources and vendor partnerships.
Conduct periodic reviews to ensure alignment between L&D outcomes and organizational strategy.
6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Stay updated on global learning trends technologies and best practices to evolve Pidilite’s learning ecosystem.
Foster innovation by experimenting with new tools learning platforms and engagement models.
Continuously assess and enhance program effectiveness using data-driven insights and participant feedback.

Education & Experience
Postgraduate degree in Human Resources Organizational Development or related field.
15–18 years of total experience including minimum 5 years in a leadership role within L&D / OD functions .
Experience in Manufacturing or FMCG sectors preferred.
Exposure to large Indian multinational organizations will be an added advantage.
