Immersive Systems Engineer Unity, Blender, XR & AI Integration
Location : Gurugram, India
Type : Full-time, On-site (6 days a week)
Travel : Required to client and project sites across India (for installation and setup)
About the Role :
We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Immersive Systems Engineer who can bridge creativity and engineering someone who understands the intersection of VR / AR, projection mapping, holography, real-time rendering, and AI systems.
You will work on next-generation immersive installations such as Science on Sphere setups, AI-based exhibits, VR / AR zones, projection domes, and interactive museum systems, ensuring they are technically precise, visually stunning, and functionally flawless.
This role combines software expertise (Unity, Blender, Python, C++), hardware integration (projectors, cameras, NVIDIA GPUs, servers), and creative spatial mapping skills (GIS, .tif, 3D geometry) to bring immersive projects to life.
Key Responsibilities :
Immersive Development & Integration :
- Design, develop, and optimize immersive environments using Unity, Blender, Unreal, and other XR tools.
- Implement projection mapping and holographic display systems, ensuring perfect alignment, calibration, and rendering fidelity.
- Integrate C++ and Python-based modules for AI, computer vision, or ML-driven interactive content.
Hardware Setup & Installation :
Install, configure, and fine-tune projectors, cameras, fisheye lenses, mirrors, NVIDIA GPUs, and local servers for immersive setups.Work with on-ground teams during field installations at science centres, museums, and educational or innovation hubs.Troubleshoot real-time rendering or hardware synchronization issues (projector blending, camera calibration, display alignment, etc.).Spatial & Visual Mapping :
Perform GIS-based mapping and coordinate alignment for projection on spherical or non-planar surfaces.Use TIFF and geospatial raster data for accurate content alignment and geographic storytelling (e.g., climate, Earth systems).Collaborate with designers and content teams to visualize scientific, educational, or environmental data through immersive 3D projections.Creative & Collaborative Work :
Work closely with designers, AI engineers, and project managers to merge technical accuracy with artistic expression.Maintain visual and aesthetic integrity across all immersive content ensuring high-quality textures, lighting, and animation flow.Contribute innovative ideas for interactive exhibits and AI-powered visualization systems.Required Skills & Experience :
Software Expertise :
Unity (C# scripting), Blender, Unreal Engine (optional)Strong knowledge of C++ and PythonFamiliarity with ML / DL concepts for vision-based interactivity (preferred)Hardware & System Knowledge :
Experience with projectors, lenses, fisheye mirrors, and camera calibrationUnderstanding of NVIDIA GPU hardware, rendering pipelines, and high-performance serversExperience with networked display systems, calibration tools, and driver configurationsMapping & Visualization :
Experience with GIS, GeoTIFFs, spherical and dome projectionKnowledge of coordinate systems and 3D model projectionPrior experience with Science on Sphere, planetariums, digital domes, or immersive museum installations is highly preferredSoft Skills :
Strong creative and spatial visualization abilityExcellent troubleshooting and hands-on installation experienceWillingness to travel across India for site work, installation, and calibrationGood communication and teamwork skillsPreferred Background :
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, Animation, or related fieldExperience in immersive technology, museum installations, or digital experience centresPrevious work on Science on Sphere, projection mapping, or interactive educational systemsWork Schedule & Location :
