Miwatj Health is seeking a passionate leader to drive the implementation and alignment of the Risk Assessment and Management Framework (RAMF) across our services. This role will strengthen Miwatj’s domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) responses by embedding RAMF within organizational policy, governance and operations. This position will contribute to safer communities and improved outcomes for families across East Arnhem.
This is full-time, fixed-term role until 30 June 2026.

Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we’re committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling Yolŋu powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region, and dedicated outreach teams who travel to 3 additional locations.
Essential Requirements
The ideal candidate must have an understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and self-determination; An understanding of the issues faced by Yolngu people living in remote settings; Knowledge and experience working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services; Demonstrate knowledge of current issues, standards and trends in the delivery of remote health in alignment with social and emotional well-being services to Aboriginal people; Demonstrate 2-3 years’ experience working in remote healthcare, with knowledge of clinical governance, DFSV principles and mandatory reporting guidelines within the Northern Territory
