Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Consultant - Technology - Equipment Engineering with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas sector for Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
The Role
- Provide specialist support on the functional areas (refer below) in Projects, Proposals.
- Hands on working experience with engineering consultancies and EPC companies on Equipment’s in Refinery / Petrochemical / Chemical / Oil & Gas etc. and offshore facilities for FEED and Detailed design and engineering.
- Possesses adequate knowledge on selection / application of codes like API, ASME etc. and Client specifications.
- Possesses the ability to provide clear technical direction and decision making.
- Prepare, check and approve documents.
- Perform technical studies & resolves technical issues in projects.
- Aware of latest technologies and cultivating relationships with technology providers.
- Keeps up to date with latest developments industry practices, standards and product development and disseminate to group.
- Organises and conducts technical presentations to the group.
- Provide guidance to Specialist teams as required.
- Technical interface with Clients, other Departments, suppliers / vendors and consultants.
- Support to disciplines on material selection, welding & NDE, PMI, coating and insulation, and noise.
- Review and approve Weld Map, WPS / PQR, and related vendor documents.
- Review and approve vendor documents related to NDE procedures, PMI procedures, Painting Procedures, Hydro Test Procedures, PWHT Procedures, Pneumatic testing procedures, Pickling and Passivation.
