Roles and Responsibilities
A Branch Manager (Gold Loan) manages branch operations, drives gold loan business growth through strategic sales and marketing, leads and trains the staff to meet targets, ensures regulatory compliance, and builds strong customer and value relationships while maintaining the profitability and quality of the branch's loan portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Growth & Sales : Develop and execute strategies to acquire new customers and promote gold loan products, meeting or exceeding sales targets and increasing asset under management (AUM).
- Branch Operations : Oversee all daily branch activities, ensuring efficient resource management, timely loan processing, and high customer service standards.
- Team Leadership : Coach, mentor, and train the branch team, fostering a high-performing environment and providing feedback on performance.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to all NBFC (Non-Banking Financial Company) and banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Financial Management : Monitor and control the branch's profitability, managing the portfolio quality by tracking interest collections and keeping NPAs (Non-Performing Assets) in check.
- Valuation & Risk Management : Maintain quality control of the gold loan portfolio through accurate valuation and close monitoring of values and valuation agencies.
- Customer & Vendor Relationships : Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and with gold appraisers and valuation agencies.
- Reporting : Prepare and present regular reports on branch performance, business activities, and financial metrics to senior management.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Educational Background : A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is often required.Experience : Proven experience in financial services, specifically within the gold loan sector, with a track record of managing people and meeting business targets.Leadership & Communication : Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills for motivating staff and building customer relationships.Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for managing operations and improving profitability.Financial Knowledge : In-depth understanding of gold loan products, processing, banking regulations, and compliance.Skills Required
