Seeking a skilled PCB design Engineer with more than 7 Years of hands-on experience in multi-layer and mixed signal PCB Board Design to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the schematic and PCB
design
of
cutting-edge Traction Inverters
and
vehicle control units .
Key Responsibilities :
ECAD :
Design complex schematic and multi-layered PCB layout in compliance with internal guidelines & statutory standards.
Compliance & Safety : Ensure all PCB designs comply with relevant industry standards and certifications, such as IPC series (PCB Design) ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), IEC 61800 (Drive Systems), and automotive EMC standards.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement : Drive continuous innovation in hardware architecture. Research and integrate new technologies and methods to enhance system performance, reduce costs and improve scalability.
Documentation & Version Control : Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation, including SOPs for schematic and PCB layout design. Manage version control of electronic component libraries and PCB placements. Prepare design validation and PCB approval reports aligned with compliance requirements.
Skills :
Proficient in schematic capture and layout using tools like Altium, OrCAD, KiCad, and Cadence Allegro.
Develop concept blocks for PCB architecture.
Manage component libraries using PLM tools.
Design complex PCBs (4-12 Layers) comprising mixed signal design of power circuits, high-speed NVRAM and DSPs.
Strong understanding of multi-layer PCB stack-up design (4-12 Layers).
Generate Gerber, ODB++ and fabrication documents.
Perform SI, PI, Impedance matching and differential routing.
Knowledge of EMI / EMC concepts in PCB design.
Knowledge of microcontroller, DSP, and FPGA-based designs for automotive systems.
Assist with hardware parts selection, design and testing methods.
Strong knowledge of PCB manufacturing process.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex PCB manufacturing and assembly issues.
Collaborate with hardware, mechanical and manufacturing teams for DFM, DFT and DFA.
Key Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Experience :
7+ years of experience in schematic and PCB board design, with a minimum of 3 years work experience in the automotive industry.
Ability to demonstrate proficiency in multi-layer mixed signal PCB design.
Designer certificate IPC-CID certification (Preferred)
