Job Summary :
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager / Manager – Accounts and Finance to join our fast-growing EdTech organization. The ideal candidate will manage the end-to-end accounting cycle, financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and audits. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with accounting systems, and a strategic mindset to drive financial efficiency and transparency across the organization.

Pune, Maharashtra, India
Roles and Responsibilities :
Manage end-to-end accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial statements.
Prepare and analyze P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Handle budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support management decisions.
Ensure compliance with statutory laws, taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax), and audit requirements.
Coordinate with external and internal auditors during financial and statutory audits.
Manage vendor and client invoicing cycles, ensuring accuracy and timely settlements.
Oversee payroll accounting and employee reimbursements in coordination with HR.
Evaluate and implement process improvements to enhance accounting accuracy and efficiency.
Maintain financial control systems and ensure adherence to internal financial policies.
Support senior management with financial reports, MIS, and performance insights.
Collaborate with other departments (Sales, Operations, HR) for financial planning and cross-functional coordination.
Stay updated on financial regulations, EdTech funding norms, and compliance trends.
Role Requirements :
Commerce Graduate / Postgraduate (B.Com / M.Com / MBA in Finance / CA Inter preferred).
2–3 years in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or Audit, preferably in an EdTech, SaaS, or startup environment.
Proficiency in Tally ERP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets for reporting and analysis.
Familiarity with financial automation tools or BI dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
Financial reporting and audit procedures.
Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership mindset to manage small teams and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders.
Work Schedule : Monday – Friday
Salary :
₹6.0 – ₹8.0 LPA (Negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
