Reports to : Designated Person Ashore – Company Security Officer

Responsibilities and duties

You shall :

• Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations;
• Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies;
• Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis;
• Assist in QHSSE responsibilities for his assigned vessels;
• Perform on duty tasks when assigned;
• Ensure :
• The implementation of the Integrated Management System and the Ship Security Plan;
• Good communication between ashore departments and the vessels;
• In conjunction with concerned Departments and vessels : his assigned vessels are properly manned, maintained, equipped and in a seaworthy condition.
• Responsible for :
• Management and follow-up of ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO, and flag audits;
• QSSE audit or inquiry onboard assigned and designated vessel;
• Monitoring of corrective and preventive actions;
• Accident investigation.
• Perform trainings of shore department and ship staff;
• Participate in the regulations monitoring;
• Be the contact point of the flag administrations and support Fleet department with the classification societies (RO);
• Participate in the Emergency Response Team when concerned;
• Be available to travel worldwide.

For Le Havre and Hamburg position : You shall be available to come in Head Office at least once per quarter and when required. You can be designated as Deputy DPA-CSO with following duties :

Experience

Previous officer experience or in shipping industry.
